Benedict was joined for this creation by Martin Penning from the  UK on a Queen Elizabeth sponsorship to train and building a double bass together. Martin's work on the scroll in particular is a testament to this emerging craftsman talent which is clearly  apparent  today.
An incredibly enjoyable instrument to build using stunning ancient Lombardi poplar for the back and sides. With a Swiss spruce top and German maple scroll. Fitted with our own handmade Machine Heads. An medium sized original model built with playability firmly in mind.
