About Us

Established in 1995 by Benedict G. Puglisi,  Atelier Puglisi

quickly grew to Australia's Premier place for Double Bass and Cello.

At the heart of the workshop's philosophy has been

teamwork, training, and the open sharing of ideas.

Luthiers local and International have joined the Puglisi ensemble.

Apprentices and experienced Luthiers from Switzerland, Germany, England, Italy, USA, Mexico, Belgium, Sweden Netherlands, Denmark, and more than a dozen Australians craftspeople have called this workshop home over the last three decades. Some for just a few weeks and some for many years.

"I sometimes see myself more like a composer or conductor of an ensemble. Creating ideas and collaborating is the most rewarding way of keeping the workshop progressive, and inspirational and ensuring the workmanship and service stay at the highest possible efficient level. It certainly makes it a lot more enjoyable at the same time. I'm always so grateful for my teams input and dedication."
