The workshop's philosophy centers around teamwork, training, and openly shared ideas. Luthiers from both local and international backgrounds come together in this Puglisi Ensemble.
For 3 decades, experienced luthiers and apprentices from Switzerland, Germany, England, Italy, the USA, Mexico, Belgium, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, and many Australian craftspeople have made this workshop their home, some for just a few weeks and others for many years.

After more than 25 years at Atelier Puglisi, Tim has an essential backbone member of the Puglisi team. His unique combination of musical passion, commitment, enthusiasm, natural woodworking skills, exceptional creativity has made him one of the most sought-after modern luthiers recognized globally.

Nama Rangachari
Showroom Manager and Double Bassist
Completing his undergraduate studies in double bass studies at UniSA (James Morrison Academy) and honours at V.C.A, Nama joins the Atelier Puglisi team as the face of the showroom. Nama moved to Melbourne in 2021, where he operates as a freelance bassist, composer, and bandleader.
Bringing his expertise in performance, repertoire, and the bass world, Nama is passionate about supporting and guiding every student, parent and professional who walks through the door.

Andy Tiggs

Instrument Maker, Repair and Setup Specialist
After finishing his formal Double Bass studies at V.C.A. Melbourne, Andy moved into the luthier craft, spending more than 10 years on guitar setups at Cole Clark Guitars and creating his own line of classical guitars. Since joining the Puglisi team in 2020, his expertise has set a global standard for his Double Bass and Cello setups, earning widespread recognition.

Joe Matthieu
Instrument Maker, Repair and Engineering Specialist
Joe, a passionate musician Guitar maker with formal German engineering qualifications. His a passionate and professionalism is an asset to this Puglisi team. After originally joining over 10 years ago, he has made a permanent return, enthusiastically tackling everything from repairs to crafting and problem-solving.
