A much-anticipated five-string restoration! Labelled Max Hoyer and signed Kurt Hoyer, this is a big, dark bass with an equally commanding sub-bass sound to match.
Don't let the five strings fool you. This instrument is remarkably easy to navigate, allowing players to traverse even the most complex passages with nimble efficiency.

The low B string offers deep, resonant sub-bass frequencies while retaining a stunning clarity that allows for practical use even in the upper registers. The instrument also moves air with remarkable immediacy and dynamic consistency, making it a unique candidate for a five-string solo instrument or a bass capable of leading an orchestral section with authority.

Having undergone meticulous retouching, restoration, structural reinforcement, and a comprehensive setup within the Atelier, this instrument has been transformed into an unrelenting beast, with a rich history and an equally rich tonal character to match.
