Maker: Julius Heinrich Zimmermann

With 46" string length, this behemoth has to be played to be believed! BIG bass, big sound to match. Full measurements are available in the image gallery.

Born at Sternberg/Mecklenburg in 1851, Zimmerman established his factory in St. Petersburg in 1895 and was considered to have employed "the best workmen from Saxony". He transferred the business to Markneukirchen in 1908. His instruments are beautifully finished and nicely varnished.
