Beautiful gamba cornered, carved back double bass. There is exceptional craftsmanship on this French instrument from the mid 1800s. This was previously a 3-string bass but has been converted to 4-string.
This instrument is a much-loved family heirloom, which had travelled from Transylvania before its long career in Melbourne. It received a restoration nearly 20 years ago and has made its way back on the maket for sale.
